Historical relationship between Mahabalipuram and China

Mahabali Puram was established by King Narasimha Varman of Pallava Vanda for religious purposes in the seventh century.

Narasimha Varman received the title of Mamal and hence it is also known as Mamal Puram.

Bodhidharma, the third prince of this dynasty, adopted Buddhism and became a Buddhist monk. During his reign, there was a security agreement between the Pallava dynasty and the Chinese rulers.
